Night mode and the dog. You sleep with the alarm set: doors, windows and glass are armed, the indoor motion detectors are off. The detectors ignore a dog or cat up to 20 kg and 50 cm tall — we set them up for your pet during installation.
We install, set up and test. We're not a security company — the patrol comes from a licensed company of your choice that the system connects to.

Product prices come from our supplier's catalogue, incl. VAT, and update on the site automatically. Installation, setup and testing are charged at €30 an hour; in the packages they're included. The SIM card for the hub is yours. Photos are the manufacturer's.
A year on, nobody remembers which detector is armed in which mode. We leave it on paper and in your account — and you're the administrator.

Build yoursNo. The Ajax app is free, and so are the notifications. The only running cost after installation is the SIM card in the hub, if you want a backup connection that works without internet — €2–€3 a month with your mobile provider. You only get a patrol response if you sign a contract with a security company.
The hub runs on its own battery for up to 16 hours and takes two SIM cards — if the power or internet drops, you still get the alert, including one about the outage itself. The detectors run on batteries for 4–7 years; the app tells you a month in advance when they need changing.
What happens within a secondNot if night mode is on: the doors, windows and glass stay protected, while the motion detectors inside are switched off. You get up for a glass of water, your child walks down the hallway — silence. But if a window opens, the siren goes off.
The motion detectors have pet immunity up to 20 kg and 50 cm in height — a dog or cat on the floor doesn't count. For a bigger dog we position them to cover the perimeter rather than the floor, or rely on the door and window sensors.
The hub monitors the radio channel and sends an alert if someone tries to jam it; the link to the detectors is encrypted, with two backup frequencies. Access is through your own account and password; we don't keep access after handover.
Not necessarily. Self-monitored: the siren and an alert on your phone, with no monthly fee. If you want a patrol response — a licensed security company of your choice, €15–€25 a month for a home; we set the system up to connect to them. The equipment stays yours, and you can change company without changing the alarm.
Who respondsYes. The old wired detectors can be connected to Ajax with a module, but it's usually cheaper and neater to replace them with wireless ones. Your patrol contract with the security company can carry on with the new system.
The MotionCam detector sends a photo when the alarm is triggered — you can see whether it's a burglar or the cat before you ring anyone. CCTV cameras complement the alarm; they have their own separate page.
A flat takes half a day, a house a day. No cables and no chasing: the detectors are wireless and battery-powered, and they're stuck on or screwed in place. The hub needs a socket and, if you have one, a router.
